It’s not the heart that’s responsible for emotions, the heart’s function is to circulate blood and not to feel. The real root of the notion that the heart is center of emotions came from the fact that when we are under overwhelming emotions, the heart beats faster and becomes tachycardic, giving the illusion that our heart feels.
